Max Bolen
GIS Analyst
As a GIS Analyst, Max Bolen is highly experienced in spatial data compilation, management, and cartographic production. Geographic Information Systems and spatial data components are keys to FA�s project successes. Max is known for providing accurate on time delivery of final products with maximum customer satisfaction. His role on the Fregonese team is to act as a conduit between analytical data and graphics displays that help tell the story of FA�s planning efforts. Tasks include analysis of land use planning and design, transportation networks, environmental conditions, cost benefit modeling, visualizations, and cutting edge cartographic mapping.
Max has experience working in multiple professional environments.Working for regional and state government organizations like Metro, Tri Met, City of Beaverton, and the Oregon Department of Transportation have given him experience with the needs of the public sector. He has also worked for several private firms including engineering, environmental, and planning firms, giving him valuable insight into private business structures. Fregonese is a work place where he can employ his knowledge of varied operational models to best integrate disparaging data sets and databases. The product is highly specialized analysis and products targeted toward client specific needs and goals.
Recent projects that he has worked on include:
- The Baton Rouge Loop: Regional GIS database development,accessibility modeling
- Fresno County Comprehensive Plan: Database development, macro level urban design and future growth scenario analysis
- Pointe Coupee Comprehensive Plan: GIS library development, scenario modeling and incorporating Louisiana�s important environmental factors into land use planning
- Southern California Association of Governments Compass Blueprint: Land Use modeling for SB 375 compliance
- Superstition Vistas Regional Plan: Land Use scenario and transportation modeling
- Tulsa Comprehensive Plan: Small Area Workshop map development
- Illinois Transportation Vision: Base Case transportation, freight,and economic analysis
Max received a Bachelor of Science in Geography with a focus on GIS and Urban Planning from Portland State University. He also has completed all of the requirements and is currently applying for his GISP accreditation from the GIS Certification Institute.
